A SPECIAL education needs school continues to receive high praise from the education watchdog.
The registered manager of Barnardo's High Close School in Wokingham were seen as "having a strong vision for the school", a particular highlight when Ofsted carried out their visit in September 2019.
The special educational needs and mental health facility was previously rated as outstanding in September 12 and appears to be maintaining its high award.

Mark Shears, principal of High Close School, said: “The outstanding rating we achieved from the OFSTED Social Care inspection is testament to the passion and hard work shown by all of the team at High Close School.
"We are delighted with the outcome and our dedicated and committed team will continue to try and achieve the best for the pupils who attend our school.”
Barnardo's High Close School received an 'Outstanding' rating in all five areas of the latest inspection, including progress of children and young people, how well children are helped and effectiveness of leadership.
However, inspectors noted that even though areas for improvement were minimal, the school leadership team should review the boundaries they set for consulting with the local authority safeguarding officer about how concerns are consistently followed up if a child does not have a social worker.
Despite this, the staff were praised for being "persistent" and "inventive". They always look for ways to help children to make small changes which can have a big impact on.
The Ofsted report highlights one parents review of the school, which said: "Every time my child struggled, the
staff would ask what they could do differently… It is this approach which has helped my child to grow into the young person she is today."

The Ofsted report also shows how children’s needs are identified and addressed quickly, which reduces the potential impact of longer-term problems on a child’s life.
The report said: "Preparation for adulthood is well considered. Staff reflect carefully about how to prepare and support pupils to move on successfully. They are proactive and forward thinking. "
