A DOZEN trees are set to be hacked down at a property in Bracknell.
A homeowner has asked Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) for permission to chop down twelve Lawson Cypress conifers at their Enborne Gardens address.
Writing to the authority’s planning team, the applicant said they were looking to chop the trees down as they have two ‘green barriers’ around their home, which means a lot of light is cut off from the property.

The applicant told BFC they intend to replace the trees with a yew hedge.
According to their letter, the homeowner asked the council for permission to chop down the same dozen trees in 1994 but planning bosses said no to these plans.
BFC will now consider the applicant’s proposal after a four-week consultation.
