Princess Square shopping mall is set to be the new home of the fast-food joint, meaning it will be the only Wimpy in Berkshire.
An exact location has not been confirmed yet.
Initial plans indicated Wimpy would move into number 1 Princess Square, where F. Hinds is, but the jewellers have confirmed they are not leaving Bracknell.
A map attached to the proposals suggests the eatery will actually set up in the space between Starbucks and The Card Factory.
The decision will come as welcome news for residents who told the News of their excitement about the plans for Wimpy to return to the town it previously had a store in in the 1980s.

Resident Rob Francis said: "With Bracknell recently losing two of its new eateries (Carluccio's and Green's Steakhouse), it's good to see that we are still getting new dining options opening up in the town.
"Even if Wimpy isn't exactly at the 'fine dining' end of the spectrum!"
According to planning documents, the eatery would be open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
Twenty jobs could be created by the new addition to the town.
Wimpy is renowned for its burger choices and its menu includes beef and chicken burgers as well as a range of veggie options.
The list also features 'fish plates' and breakfast options, as well as a kids menu.
