A MAN has died following a welfare incident at a Bracknell town centre car park.
At around 9am police alerted members of the public to an incident at the High Street car park in Bracknell.
In a statement on social media, police said the car park and surrounding roads would be closed until further notice and the public was requested to avoid the area.
Thames Valley Police have now released a statement on this morning's event.
A spokesperson from the force said: “At around 7am this morning officers were called to the High Street Car Park in Bracknell to reports of a fear for welfare of a man.
“The man was provided with emergency care but sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances regarding the death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
“The man’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
