WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook manager Roger Herridge says winning the Reading Senior Cup in his final game in charge was the 'icing on the cake'.
Sumas came from behind to beat a stubborn Marlow United 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium and defend their Senior Cup title.
The match marked the end of an era for Wokingham as the club will drop down to Hellenic Division One East next season and return 'home' to Lowther Road.
It was also Herridge's final game in charge after more than 15 years with the club before he switches to Binfield FC to become assistant manager.
"Win, lose or draw, it was the icing on the cake," he said.
"I have come a long way with these boys, I started coaching in the Under Sevens and have managed all the way up from there to the Allied Counties and then pushed on to the first team.
"I have learnt as I have gone along. I'm sure I have made a few mistakes and upset a few people, but I tried to keep those to a minimum. I am excited by the challenge ahead but a big part of me will always be at this football club."
