Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra will take up residence in Wokingham for its three main concerts a year. The launch of the new season will commence at the new All Saints site with Dvorak’s much-loved New World Symphony in November.
November 25 concert, to celebrate the orchestra’s arrival in Wokingham, will start with Verdi's La Forza del Destino, the Poulenc Piano Concerto with soloist Daniel King Smith, and Dvorak's Symphony No 9.
Orchestra chair Adam Lloyd said: “We simply outgrew our previous venue and were delighted that the newly refurbished All Saints was completed at just the right time for us.”
“We held a trial rehearsal in June with the full orchestra and have confirmed our first season of concerts there in November 2023, March and July 2024.”
The orchestra recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and presents a mix of familiar works and innovative programming under its Music Director Robert Roscoe.
