A PET lover is calling for Chinese lanterns to be banned after one plummeted from the sky and landed on her terrified cat.
Easthampstead woman Debbie Turner, 58, was watching TV when she saw the burning lantern fall into her garden in Beedon Drive and hit her 13-year-old long-haired Persian.
The timid feline escaped unscathed on Thursday last week, but Ms Turner said she was worried the experience could have scared Poppy to death because she has a heart condition.
Ms Turner said: "I think the lanterns should be banned because they are not controlled - they can go anywhere." Do you think Chinese Lanterns are dangerous? Should they be banned? Leave your comments below or email letters@bracknellnews.co.uk For the full story see today's Bracknell News.
