A QUEUE of excited eager shoppers waited outside Bracknell's hugely anticipated Waitrose store early this morning (Thursday).
Branch manager Graham Oakley and Waitrose employee Rachel Harding, from Bullbrook, cut the ribbon before the early-morning customers poured into the supermarket in Bond Way at 7am.
About 70 Waitrose staff were there to greet the shoppers, the first being Great Hollands man Robin Roberts, 51, who had been waiting since 5am.
Mr Roberts, who was given a beautiful bunch of flowers and some champagne by the store for being the first customer, said: "It looks great. Hopefully it will encourage people into Bracknell."
