HALF a tonne of rubbish in Bracknell's recycling centre was set ablaze by the heat.
Firefighters from Bracknell station rushed to Longshot Lane at about 6.45am today (Monday).
They spent about an hour extinguishing the flames and used a JCB to disperse the rubbish to prevent it catching fire again.
It is thought the hot weather ignited the pile, which was in the centre's warehouse.
No-one was hurt.
