The event included all eight of the beauty department’s make-up counters and more than 100 eager ladies signed up for makeovers and lessons in how to achieve a flawless finish. Melinda Blackall, the beauty manager at Bentalls, said: “It was absolutely fantastic, our best yet.
“Everybody enjoyed it, all the customers learnt some great tips and went away with goody bags and lots of samples to try out.
“The women learnt how to create different looks, things like the smokey eye and how to find the right colour make-up for their skintone.” There were lessons and talks from beauty professionals, and customers had the chance to try products before they bought them. The next event will run in March.
