A BRACKNELL motorcyclist has died after colliding with a tree in Oxford yesterday.
The 26-year-old man was travelling south along the A4074 Oxford Road on a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with another BMW motorbike at around 1.20pm.
The Suzuki then came off the road and crashed into a tree with the driver sustaining fatal injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
The other motorcyclist was uninjured.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Investigating officer PC Phil Hanham, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision yesterday or anyone who saw the two motorcycles travelling prior to the collision.”
All approaches to the roundabout were closed while investigation work was carried out.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman said an ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended the incident.
Part of the A415 Abingdon Road was closed after the accident just after 1pm.
