A BELOVED water fountain in the town centre is safe in storage, the council has confirmed.
The water monument stood in Bracknell town centre for a number of years before The Lexicon's development.
The Kugel fountain outside The Bull pub was moved to allow for The Lexicon to be built, and when the 1300's pub was rebuilt and reopened, the fountain was moved.
Now, Bracknell Forest Council has assured residents that the water feature won't be gone forever, and that the relocating may have to wait a little longer.
Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “The ball fountain has been removed from Bull Square and is currently in storage for safe keeping. We are exploring options which may allow it to be incorporated back into the town centre in the future.
"At the moment, we don’t have an exact location confirmed and we’ll need to wait for other phases of the regeneration to complete before we can reach a final decision.”
