THE ROTARY Club of Easthampstead raised thousands of pounds over the Christmas period.
Volunteers for the club were collecting for local and international charities outside supermarkets.
Almost £2,000 was donated over three days, £1,000 of which was at Tesco in Bracknell on December 23.
The collection was accompanied by a local church choir, while Kinder the Kindly Cat entertained the children.
Easthampstead Rotary's Rob Hughes said: "We work with organisations providing support to the elderly and the isolated, and to young people with special needs.
"We also help all young people in and around Bracknell and Wokingham, working with local schools and youth groups."
