A BRAND new bus route from Bracknell to Heathrow is soon to be introduced by Reading buses.
The new Green Line 703 will run between Bracknell and the country's biggest airport hourly from May 8, as well as connecting the town with Windsor, Slough and Langley.
With the introduction of the 703 will come changes to the Green Line 702 which will no longer run from Bracknell, but will operate between Windsor and London Victoria..
The 703 is expected to pick where the 702 left off and largely cover the same routes, with Heathrow Terminal 5 as the addition.
The three early morning and evening peak time commuter journeys on 702 will continue to start in Reading and run through Bracknell.
The North Ascot and Winkfield area will now be served every two hours by 703 – which Reading Buses say better reflects the usage of the service in these areas.
Martijn Gilbert, Reading Buses chief executive officer, said: “We have been looking at how customers use the route and how this information can help shape the service in the future,”
“We now have some good data from customer comments and driver feedback so that we can start making our first significant changes to help the long term future of the route.
“At the same time we are also trialling vehicles so we also encourage customers to tell us what they think of each vehicle type via Twitter, email or by using the feedback forms on board.
"This will help us better understand which vehicles will provide the best experience for this route.”
Full timetables are expected to updated in the coming days.
