THE best of Bracknell will be celebrated at a glamorous ceremony this Friday.
The awards evening is to be held at the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, and celebrates the unsung heroes of our community.
In next week’s News, we’ll bring you all the winners and lots of lovely photos from the night.
But now, let’s take a look at the finalists:
The John Nike Pride of Bracknell Forest Young Person’s Award celebrates young people in the town who have given something back to the community.
Finalists are Josh Zeller and Madison Page.
The John Nike Pride of Bracknell Forest Adult Award is given to an adult in the community who has gone the extra mile and helped the community.
Finalists are Lindsay Balaam and Carol Ellis.
In the School Of The Year category, the finalists have been slimmed down to St Michael’s C of E Aided Primary School, Sandhurst, and Uplands Primary School, Sandhurst.
Bracknell Forest Lions Club will go up against Small Time Play Group in the Team Of The Year category.
Citizens Advice Bracknell has been shortlisted for Charity Of The Year alongside Pilgrim Hearts.
Karen Watkins and Peter Hulbert are finalists in the Volunteer Of The Year category.
In the Special Award, the finalists are David Horkan and Julie Pratt.
The Teacher Of The Year award will be decided between James Lacey (Holly Spring Infant), and James Rawson (Sandy Lane).
Darren Taylor and Yasmin Taite are the finalists in the Health and Sport Adult Award, and in the Young Person’s Award in the same category, the finalists are Molly Knightsbury and Ava-Mae Martell & Adam Bouaziz.
Finally, in the Business Of The Year category, Empire Security Solutions and Syngenta are the two finalists.
