COUNCILLORS will vote on whether or not to approve proposals for the construction of 45 new flats above an existing office block.
L'Avenir, Bracknell, has been vacant for more than a year, and now a developer has applied to Bracknell Forest Council for permission to add a new floor, creating 45 new flats.
Tony Allen, of Allen Planning Ltd, applied for permission to create the new floor, and councillors will debate the plans on Thursday September 13.
Brenda Wilson, of Harmans Water Road, Bracknell, wrote to the council to refute the plans.
She wrote: "With the increased number of residences the number of parking places will be inadequate. This will obviously mean that people who reside there or come to visit will have to find alternatives.
"It would be reasonable to expect that they would look for the nearest alternative and unfortuantely that would be in the small crescent off Harmans Water Road where I live which would cause massive inconvenience and chaos to the residents there."
