The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Court:
November 26
Mohammed Hasnath, 37, of Royal Avenue, Calcot, admitted to using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance or a valid test certificate and speeding in Wokingham. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months and was fined £100. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £30.
Ricky Cooper, 20, of Jennets Park, Bracknell, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Slough Magistrates’ Court by failing to keep in touch as instructed, failing to attend an unpaid work requirement and failing to provide evidence as directed. The community order was revoked and he was dealt with for the original offences, namely assault and carrying a bladed article in a public place. He was committed to prison for four weeks, suspended for 12 months. He will be required to take part in a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement for a maximum of 10 days and carry out 40 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
Todd Woods, 19, of Norreys Avenue, Wokingham, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Reading Magistrates’ Court by failing to attend a supervision order, failing to attend an unpaid work requirement and failing to provide evidence as directed. He was fined £150, ordered to pay costs of £60 and the court instructed that the order continue.
Kayleigh Prout, 31, of Rainbow Park, Wokingham, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a suspended sentence made by Reading Crown Court by failing to attend a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and failing to provide evidence as directed. She was fined £100 and the court instructed that the order continue.
November 27
James Robert Hider, 38, of Trumps Green Road, Virginia Water, admitted to touching a woman aged 16 or over in a sexual manner when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting at Wokingham Station. A community order was made and he must take part in an Alcohol Treatment Requirement for six months, as well as a Rehabilitation Activity
she was consenting Requirement for a maximum of 35 days. He was ordered to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and will be required to register with police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003 for five years. He was ordered to pay compensation of £200, costs of £85 and a surcharge of £85.
November 28
Andrew Beckwith, 32, of Pump Lane, Ascot, admitted to assault by beating and received a community order. He will be required to take part in a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement for a maximum of 40 days. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £85.
David Michael Flint, 36, of Greenhamwood, Bracknell, denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them. He was found guilty and committed to prison for 26 weeks, suspended for 18 months. He must take part in a Programme Requirement for 30 days, the Resolve Programme for 30 sessions and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement for a maximum of five days. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and to pay costs of £270, compensation of £250 and a surcharge of £115.
Danny Teeder, 37, of Beckford Avenue, Bracknell, denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke violence. He was found guilty and received a community order. He was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months, pay costs of £550 and a surcharge of £85.
Stuart Edward Nodwell, 31, of Kelvin Close, Arborfield, admitted to drink-driving and was fined £2,000. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 23 months and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £30.
