A HISTORIC art sculpture by Bracknell Town Council has been stolen from a park on its 70th anniversary.
The Swinging Girl figure has 'sadly' been removed by force and forms part of the 'Swing, Star, Skate' design created by designer Lydia Karpinska.
Situated in The Elms Park since 2009, the Swinging Girl was one of three figures commissioned by Bracknell Town Council.
Residents would have viewed this statue along with the skateboarding boy and dog between Park Road and Warfield Road at Elms Park.
Councillor Chris Turrell, Leader of Bracknell Town Council, said: "The theft of this artwork is very sad. It was installed in 2009 to mark the 60th anniversary of the designation of Bracknell and it is a blow for it be taken in this 70th anniversary year.
"It is very distinctive and I hope that anyone seeing it will report it to the police or the council. It is an amalgam of materials, so will be of limited financial value."
If you have seen anything contact the Police non-emergency on 101 or report a crime.
