A NEW event is encouraging people who are living and working with HIV to meet new people.
The initiative called Network Plus has been set up by the Thames Valley Positive Support (TVPS), which is a sexual health charity.
The charity supports people affected by HIV and noticed a gap in services for people who are living with HIV and working.
Sarah Macadam, CEO of TVPS, said: "At TVPS we have always offered drop-in sessions where people can access support.
“As well as meet other positive people, but these are in the daytime, meaning those working are unable to access the same support and social opportunities that those who are not working currently can.
“Network Plus is a social and networking meet up that aims to reduce isolation and increase opportunities for working positive people to share their experiences both in relation to HIV and work, make some new friends and be able to talk openly about their diagnosis in a safe, confidential environment."
The next event in Berkshire will be held in Reading on Wednesday, February 20 at the roof top bar, Thames Tower.
