A LOVING 6ft mountain dog named after Boris Johnson has been making his owner proud after his appearance at this year’s Crufts.
Two-year-old Boris who lives in Bracknell is a pyrenean mountain dog and when stood on his back legs is taller than his owner, Susan Reilly.
The pair made the final of the breeder competition in this year’s Crufts and made an appearance during the second day of the competition at The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.
The duo, who often wear matching outfits have appeared several times before at the national show.
The mountain dog has already won pup of the year and has been making Susan very proud, she believes despite his size he is a gentle giant.
She said: “He has done me proud and I’m over the moon with him.
“He is loving, and has a huge heart, which touches the heart of everyone he meets and he is just a gentle giant.”
Boris who is 6ft, is taller than Susan and she believes this attracts a lot of attention.
She added: “Wherever he goes he attracts lots of people and you can actually look at his face and see him smiling.”
Boris is recognisable because of his long golden hair.
Ms Reilly added: "I went all the way to Scotland to get him and I picked two of them. It wasn’t until I was driving away that I realised I only wanted the one, Boris.”
Susan describes her dog as having a strong personality.
Crufts took place at the NEC from March 7 to March 10. For more information, visit: https://www.crufts.org.uk/.
