The BRACKNELL politician Dr Phillip Lee has visited two small primary schools in the borough and praised their friendly atmosphere.
Dr Phillip Lee visited St Michael’s Primary school in Easthampstead and Crownthorne Primary in the same day.
Dr Lee believes it is easy to see why they have both been rated highly.
He said: “I thought both were wonderful schools and it is easy to see why both have received higher Ofsted ratings.
“They reminded me very much of my own primary school, with both having a friendly ‘village’ feel to them.
“It is also clear that the mentoring scheme is paying dividends and I am sure that Miss Robinson could not wish for better guidance than that being received from Ruth Jackson.”
Crowthorne Primary school's experienced headteacher, Ruth Jackson is currently acting as mentor to Sarah Robinson at St Michael’s. It is Ms Robinsons first job role as a headteacher.
One of the St Michael’s pupils agreed with the Bracknell politician saying they love how ‘everyone knows everybody else’s name.'
During his visits Dr Lee answered questions from the school council at St Michael’s and then the whole of years 5 and 6 at Crowthorne, with Brexit being the main topic of the conversations.
Dr Lee added: “I should like to thank both schools for making me so welcome and look forward to visiting them again in the future.”
