AN AWARD-WINNING community band based in Wokingham and reading entertained audiences at All Saints Church.

The Trinity Concert Band appeared at the church in Wokingham on Saturday, March 16 for their annual Spring concert.

The community-based band were awarded the top platinum award in the finals of the National Concert Band Festival in April last year.

Paul Speed, Trinity Concert Band musical director said: ”Following on from our success at the National Concert Band Festival last year, we're looking to expand our presence within the wider community.”

The concert included a musical performance from vocal duet Indigo May, who used to be part of The Swingle Singers and performers on P&O and Cunard cruise lines.

The band believe the audience enjoyed the concert and the well known-music including The Prayer, Queen and Come What May.

Paul Speed from the Trinity Concert Band, said: “It was great to return to All Saints Church for our annual Spring Concert, and a real privilege to perform alongside the incredibly talented Indigo May.

"This is the first time the band has accompanied a vocal duet and, given the positive feedback, we look forward to joining forces with Julie & Meinir again in the future.

“We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the reception we received from the Wokingham audience was just wonderful.”

The bands next concert will be their Summer Concert on June 8. For more information, visit: www.trinityband.co.uk.
