CUSTOMERS from a pub in Wokingham and surrounding supermarkets have been busy donating 80 chocolate Easter eggs for ill children at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Many customers from The Dukes Head have donated funds for the pub to purchase the Easter eggs for children at the hospital in Reading.
The donations were supported by Nicholas Prior who is a regular supporter of The Royal Berkshire Children's Charity and wanted to make the children in care happy.
He said: “We from the Dukes Head thought it would be nice to put a smile on the face of the ill children at the Royal Berks Hospitals Children’s Ward by getting the children Chocolate Easter eggs for Easter."
Morrisons in Woosehill and the Tesco superstore in Wokingham also gave Easter eggs and donated vouchers.
Mr Prior previously arranged a 24 hour darts tournament at the pub, which raised money to purchase several items including 10 Apeman portable DVDs, Harry potter and David Walliams reading books, colouring books, sketching books, paint, crayon set boxes and puzzles.
The items were also delivered to the Hospital along with the chocolate treats.
