VOTERS are heading to the polls to vote for their borough council representatives.
Elections are being held in Bracknell, Wokingham and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead for Ascot.
Polling stations for the vote opened at 7am and will close at 10pm on Thursday, May 2.
This is the biggest set of local elections in England's four-year electoral cycle, with more than 8,400 seats being contested.

Results are expected to be announced before 6am on Friday.
Residents who have registered to vote will have received a polling card with polling station details on it, but you won’t have to take this with you to vote.

At the polling station you will be given a ballot paper with the list of candidates on it.
Depending on which ward you are in, you will either be voting for two candidates in Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead for Ascot or three candidates to represent you on Bracknell Forest Council.

The results of the election will come through in the early hours of Friday, May 3.
