HUNDREDS of residents celebrated the start of the Hindu new year with its annual Spring festival held at Garth Hill College.
The Indian Community Association of Bracknell (ICAB) gathered on Sunday, May 12 to mark the beginning of the festivities.
Around 60 adults and children participated in the Spring festival and showed off India's diverse culture by wearing brightly coloured clothes, dances and trying different foods.
Guests also listened to speeches, watched traditional Indian dances, songs and speeches being presented in nine Indian languages.
Triveni Venkatraman, chair of ICAB, said: "India is well known for its diverse cultures, tradition and costumes. The event was well attended from the community living in and around Bracknell."
