AN AWARD-WINNING community band based in Wokingham and Reading is inviting residents to their summer concert.
The Trinity Concert Band will be holding their summer concert at Leighton Park school on June 8.
The concert was held at the venue last year, which had ongoing building work at the time, which made accessing the building difficult.
All the work has now been completed and the building known as 'The Michael Centre for Music and Drama' will host the concert again.
In honour of the Queen’s birthday, the concert will feature hits from every decade of her life including 633 Squadron, Crown Imperial and Fanfare for the Common Man.
The concert will also feature a saxophone solo version of Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks.
This year the band are offering a Newcomers Scheme, for those who have never experienced one of their concerts before by offering them a free ticket.
The community-based band were awarded the top platinum award in the finals of the National Concert Band Festival in April last year.
