After baffling Royal watchers and punters alike by wearing the same shade on two consecutive days for the first time in recent history, Her Majesty is tipped to defy the odds once again sport a yellow number at 11/2, despite the stats pointing to pink as last year the Queen opted for a bright pink dress, coat and matching hat on the same day.
Pink is the second most frequently worn colour for the Queen’s hat in recent years.
Pink is likely to be a popular choice with punters, as it is a colour often associated with Ladies Day.
However, the Queen has already shocked us once this week and an upset could be on the cards again.
Yellow has been worn only six times since 2005, although it did feature in both 2017 and 2018 renewals of Royal Ascot and looks a solid contender to reappear.
RacingPost.com's hat betting expert said: "The forecast better weather conditions are likely to encourage a brighter coloured outfit, and at the prices yellow looks worth a small wager."
A tip for every race:
- 2.30 Norfolk Stakes – Real Appeal 16/1
- 3.05 Hampton Court Stakes – Headman 9/1
- 3.40 Ribblesdale Stakes – Queen Power 3/1
- 4.20 Gold Cup – Dee Ex Bee 6/1
- 5.00 Britannia Stakes – King Ademar 11/1
- 5.35 King George V Stakes – Constantinople 9/2
