A new pancake van could be coming to Bracknell as soon as next week after the council gave the all-clear for crepes connoisseurs to set up at Savernake Park.
AL Crepes & Cafe will serve a range of sweet and savoury treats from the site’s car park, with toppings on offer including banana and toffee, apple and cinnamon nutella, pepperoni and cheese and much more.

Owner Adrian Arnautu has big plans for the brand, telling the News his “top dream” is to be able to move his business into the town centre.
He said: “I’m very happy but a lot of work still needs to be done to get to where we want to be.
“We want to build our own brand and to become a name. We’re looking forward to it.
“We want to start from Bracknell, we’ve been here for nearly ten years in this town. We want people to associate us with Bracknell.”
A group of residents had hoped Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) would flip the proposals after raising a number of concerns, with one suggesting there are already too many food outlets in the surrounding area.

But Mr Arnautu said his crepes will be healthy and affordable and will add something different to the selection currently available.
He added: “With crepes you can add a lot more ingredients and change a lot of things. There’s a difference between this and a meat product. With pancakes you can add a lot of flavours to it. You can make anything from it. Sweet or savoury; anything you like.”
Before giving Mr Arnautu and his partner Liliana the all-clear, councillors quizzed the pancake pioneers on how they would make sure litter is not dropped around the site - something residents had also had fears about.
The van will be accompanied by a rubbish bin which customers will be asked to use, and the owners promised to clean up the car park at the start and the end of the day to make sure waste was collected.
Customers will be able to pre-order their crepes before picking them up from Savernake Park, or they can order direct from the cafe’s van from 12pm - 8pm Tuesday to Sunday.
