AN ASCOT care home is inviting residents to their open day to celebrate the role of arts within the care industry.
The team at Care UK’s Larkland House, on London Road, will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event to celebrate Care Home Open Day on June, 28.
This year’s theme will celebrate the role of arts within care, to encourage residents’ self-expression and help to create meaningful experiences.
Maggie Candy, home manager at Larkland House, said: “Everyone at Larkland House is so excited to welcome the local community in for Care Home Open Day 2019. The people of Ascot have always been so welcoming to us, it’s great to be able to give something back.
“This year’s theme of ‘Celebrating Arts in Care’ is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase all the brilliant activities we get up to on a daily basis here at Larkland House, such as our arts and crafts sessions, so we hope that lots of local people will join us on Friday 28th June.”

The art themed party will have entertainment, activities and creative fun where visitors can look forward to polishing their skills in an arts and crafts session, and tapping their feet to live entertainment from a reminiscence singer, as well as putting their musical knowledge to the test with a quiz created by the team.
