A RESIDENT from Wokingham will be taking over as CEO of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, which Prime Minister Theresa May is a patron of.
Clare Jacklin who lives in Woosehill will be taking on the position after the former charity founder Alisa Bosworth steps down.
Mrs Jacklin has been working with Alisa for the last 12 years.
She said: “It was lovely to have our founder Patron visit last Friday to celebrate with staff, Trustees and supporters Ailsa's amazing achievements. The PM and I even had a little dance.”
“Ailsa is a hard act to follow but having worked at NRAS for 12 years I do hope I can continue to lead the charity onto even greater things in the future."

Prime Minister and Maidenhead MP Theresa May is delighted to support the charity.
She added: “I first recall meeting Ailsa over 18 years ago when she told me of her struggle with rheumatoid arthritis and her desire to make a change for others living with the condition.
“I was delighted when she asked me to be a patron of the newly formed National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society which she was setting up and I remain proud to be a patron today.
“Despite someone in the UK being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis every 20 minutes, this serious auto-immune disease is still frequently misunderstood. I am glad I can contribute to raising awareness of the impact of this awful condition.”
