A POPULAR paddling pool at a park in Wokingham is set to be opened ready for residents to use across the summer months.
The pool at California Country Park will open on Saturday, July 6 ready for families to cool-off as the warmer weather arrives.
The Wokingham Borough Council parks team have made several improvements to the park including making changes to the car park and the outdoor space at Jackson’s Café, both of which will be open in time for the summer holidays.

Councillor Parry Batth, executive member for environment and leisure, said: “We’re delighted to open the paddling pool to Wokingham Borough’s residents in time to enjoy the sunny weather.
“In addition to the new pergolas, improved road and parking, what more could local residents want for a great family day out. The new and improved California Country Park is going to be a great place for all the family this summer.”
A new road has also been built to improve vehicle access as well as new pergolas to provide an all-weather sun shade or rain cover. For more information, visit: https://www.wokingham.gov.uk/countryside-parks-and-conservation/country-parks/california-country-park/.
