A BELOVED music shop which has served musicians in the community for 41 years will host a clearance sale after the shops owner passed away in November.
Francis Jones opened Amen Corner Music in 1977 with just one guitar and since then, it became one of the largest stockists of musical instruments.
For one week only, there will be a huge clearance sale at what was 'Amen Corner Music' next week to finalise the shop owner's legacy
Wendy Halliday and Annabelle Hooper, Francis' daughters, said: "It will obviously be a sad time for us both as this finalises dads legacy of 41 years, starting up and running Amen Corner Music and all the care he put into it over the years making it the success it was.
"But we have had a fantastic response to the sale from the local community and musicians who have supported Dad over the years and would like to continue their support by attending the event."
The father who owned the business, was planning to retire and wanted to do a huge clearance sale so the family decided it would be a 'fitting' send off.
The clearance sale begins on Sunday, July 14 to Sunday 21.
Francis, who passed away in November 2018, was in a band called The Rockin Blue Jeans and his knowledge of music really showed with passion.
Wendy described how customers would come into the store to purchase their very first guitar or set of drumsticks and Francis would share his expertise and knowledge on music.
She added: "The closure of the business is very heart wrenching. We've had to sell our childhood home and cope with the loss of our dad.
"One customer called him a legend to so many musicians."
