A TALENTED young footballer who was a pupil at a Wokingham school has sadly passed away over the weekend.
Matt Sinclair, 21, who attended The Forest School in Winnersh will be missed by the school as he was part of the "family".
Tributes have been flooding in for the young footballing star who played for Southern League Premier Division South side Chesham United.
Shirley Austin, headteacher at The Forest School, said: "It is with great sadness that Matt has passed away.
"We remember Matt at The Forest School for his talent on and off the sports field, but in particular on the football pitch.
"He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by The Forest School family."
The 21-year-old was also recognised for his presence around the football club and clearly made an impact on his peers.
The football club said: “Everyone at Chesham United is saddened by the news that Matt Sinclair passed away over the weekend.
“Matt was a popular figure among his teammates and around the club in the time he was with us last season and and will always be remembered.”
Joint manager James Duncan said: “Myself and Muzza are heartbroken by the passing of Matt Sinclair.
"Matt was not only a fantastic footballer but an absolute pleasure to be around."
Another tribute on the facebook page, said: "RIP Matt, thanks for good times when you set the Woodley Leagues alight and made me look like I knew what I was doing as coach... Thoughts are with Peter and the family."
