A WOMAN in her 80s was sprayed with a cleaning product and threatened with a hammer and a screwdriver after three men broke into her house in Warfield.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the terrifying incident, which happened in Maidenhead Road between 10pm and 10.15pm on Monday, August 19.
The victim was at home when three men broke into her home.
One man threatened her with a hammer and a screwdriver while the other two men searched the house.
The victim was also sprayed with cleaning spray.
Jewellery and camera equipment was taken.
The offenders are all described as men, wearing dark clothing, face coverings and gloves.
They also spoke with Eastern European accents.
Investigating officer, detective constable Amanda Winterbourne, of Force CID, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to please get in touch.
“I would also urge any motorists who were in the area around the time of the incident to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation.
