Phillip Lee's shock defection to the Liberal Democrats has left Bracknell News readers expressing their views on whether they agree with the MPs decision.
The former-Conservative Bracknell MP is one of 21 tories to have crossed the benches in the hope to push through a bill which makes sure the UK leaves the EU with a deal.
A total of 108 readers voted on our poll yesterday and 55% per cent were not happy with Dr Lee's decision.
The view comes with many resident's who feel the MP doesn't represent the Bracknell constituents and was called a 'traitor' by many.

On the other hand, 45 per cent said they were happy with his decision to leave the party and join the Lib Dems, happy with his decision to go against Boris Johnson's plan to leave without a deal on October 31st.

Edward Honey said "It is simple. He should do the honourable thing and stand down and allow us to select a new MP to represent us."

Another said: "So who is our new MP? Who is replacing him?
"No one that voted for him voted lib dems. And I know a few lib dems that voted for them because they didny want him."
One resident commented: "Dear Dr Lee. I am one of your constituents but I have nothing but admiration for you; putting country before party. I just wish that more MPs would follow your lead and stop this disaster before it totally destroys our country. Thank you."
