COMMUTERS between Ascot and Reading have been left without a train service this morning, as overrunning engineering works have caused cancellations throughout the day.
South Western railway have cancelled all services on the line until midday, with more cancellations expected.

The company tweeted: 'All lines are still blocked between Reading and Ascot due to overrunning engineering works.
'Trains running from these stations may be cancelled, delayed or changed. Disruption is expected until 13:30.'
Great Western Railway has also been impacted by the works.
One disappointed customer tweeted: 'So @GWRHelp I'm travelling fr Ash to Reading.
'Usually a 35 minute journey. All trains are cancelled to Reading.
'Advised to get train to Aldershot in half an hours time to train to Ascot. Ascot train delayed by 25 minutes.
'Get a bus from Ascot to Reading. Absolutely insane!'
The company responded: 'Really sorry about the disruption this morning.
'I appreciate that this is frustrating. If you have a single, return or weekly ticket and arrive at your destination 15 minutes or more later than planned you can claim compensation.'
Many more have taken to Twitter to express their frustrations at having to miss work or arrive late.
