A DEDICATED cancer nurse will be helping others change their lives after enduring her own dramatic weight loss journey.

Lara Roskelly from Bracknell joined Slimming World 18 months ago and dropped from a size 24 dress at 19 stone to a size 12.

The slimmer who lost a total of 6 stone 7lbs decided to help other people lose weight by training to become a consultant.

She said: "When I first joined Slimming World as a member, I never dreamed that I would end up helping other people to lose weight but now I just can’t wait to get started.

"It is a privilege for me to be able to pass on the experience, insight and understanding that helped me, so that I can give my members the support they need to get to target."

Slimming World consultants are all former members who lost weight at their local group and set up micro-businesses in the heart of the community.

In total, there are 4,000 consultants across the UK and Ireland running 15,000 groups.

Lara trained at the weight loss companies training centre in Derbyshire will be taking over the Wildriding's group on September 21.
