EARLIER this week the News revealed the council is still working on plans to charge commercial dog-walkers to exercise their mutts at public spaces.
Bosses at the authority are still ‘exploring’ the idea after the plans were first laid bare in January.
This means officers have been looking at how the scheme could operate and what costs would come up as a result of introducing new licenses.

Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) has been asking existing dog-walking companies for their thoughts on the proposal too.
The News asked its readers what they think of the idea, and this is what they said.
“Pathetic! They will want to charge children for playing in the park next! Dog walkers do not make heaps of money…”
“I wonder if the public will get a chance to be involved in a public consultation?”
“I cannot see this being enforceable in the slightest. How do you tell the difference between a dog walker and a person who has multiple dogs themselves? What would be the rules regarding that, being a dog walker and having two dogs myself will I be charged when I walk my own family pets? Ridiculous.”
“To be fair it’s for dog walkers who are charging people to walk their dogs anyway, so they put their prices up slightly to cover these costs.”

“Ridiculous! What about cat owners? What about children using playgrounds and of course extra charges for teenagers hanging out!”
