THE Princess Royal will be meeting dedicated volunteers in Wokingham later today following Citizen's Advice 80th anniversary.
Princess Anne will be cutting the ribbon and unveiling a plaque to commemorate the refurbished Citizens Advice Wokingham branch.
Her visit today coincides with the 80th anniversary celebrations for the service, which aims to offer consumer advice on a range of issues.
The royal visit will be a big boost to the organisation, which is staffed mainly by volunteers.
Jake Morrison, Chief Executive at Citizens Advice Wokingham said: “We are honoured to be receiving a visit from Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, during the Citizens Advice services 80th anniversary.
“All of our staff, volunteers and trustees have played a part in the 80 years of our important service, some with over 25 years worth of contributions.
“We are all really proud of Citizens Advice and love doing what we do.
"We make a difference for people every single day, whether that be through our drop-in sessions, driving change on things that affect our communities or by providing opportunities for people to grow and learn new things through volunteering.”
