A DEDICATED headteacher has inspired 'the love of reading' at his school by getting pupils to read books on their Summer holidays.
Pupils at New Scotland Hill Primary School in Sandhurst packed their favourite stories to read while on their trips abroad, sending in pictures of their unique and exciting reading locations.
One student, grabbed a moment to read her favourite book 3000m high while climbing the Haleakala Crater in Hawaii.

The challenge was set up by Simon Cotterill as he wanted more children to get stuck into reading and using their imaginations.
He said: "I set our summer term reading challenge, partly to get to know our children and families through the photographs and tales of reading adventures they sent into school, and even more importantly, to inspire a love of reading.
"What has been incredible is how imaginative the children have been in turning the ordinary act of reading into the extra-ordinary.

"I was struck by how creative our children were in finding wonderful places to read; I also loved the fact that the challenge brought families together, making time to enjoy a good book together."
Children were encouraged to send in their pictures of where they were reading.
One pupil read while jumping on a trampoline and others relaxed by the pool.
