A ‘CLIMATE CHANGE EVENT’ could see some of DJ Chris Evans’ 14 luxury apartments flooded, experts have claimed.
The radio star has not addressed concerns about flooding at the Ascot site where he hopes to build the new homes after demolishing his dilapidated mansion.

In July, the News revealed flooding experts suggested refusing the star’s plans if developers could not provide more detail about preventing water build-up.
A new report from specialists at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) highlighted some problems still remain at the Sunninghill site.
The report suggested the basement would flood in a “climate change event” because water levels within the surface water drainage system would be “considerably higher” than the ground floor’s finished level
Experts are worried about the drainage system’s ability to cope with storms and more information has not been sent to bosses to reassure them about this issue.
‘Concern remains’ for specialists about whether water would be kept out of the proposed lower ground floor flats.
Despite these concerns, two previous fears have been resolved.

One of these includes more details about the entire drainage system after developers confirmed a management company will look after this network.
RBWM bosses still want more information on how developers intend to prevent flooding where concerns remain, otherwise, the plans could be refused by the council.
Evans received a boost last month when landscape specialists said they had no objections to the plans, which include removing some trees.
Three months previously, RBWM inspectors found roosting bats and other wildlife at the site.
An ecology expert claimed the new plans would likely harm the mammals and advised proposals could only go ahead if measures were taken to ensure they were not disturbed.
The proposal involves knocking down the derelict eight-bedroom house which currently occupies the site on Church Lane in Sunninghill.
Eight of the 14 apartments would be three-bedroom homes and the other six would be two-bedroom dwellings, situated near to the existing swimming pool which is set to be retained.

The plans are currently being considered by RBWM.
