A LUCKY punter feels "shocked" after bagging himself £486,000 from placing just a £2 bet at the races.
The racegoer, who wishes to remain anonymous, found out he had won when he woke up on Sunday morning, a day after the QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse.
The winner was out with his friends watching the rugby and didn't realise the results had come out.
He said: "The rest of Sunday just went as a blur. I was in shock, disbelief… all the emotions a lottery winner must experience I imagine.

"I've never had a winner anywhere near this amount, the best I've had is a few grand but this is unbelievable. It still doesn't feel real.”
A return of £486,014 came out of 'A Lucky 31', which is a bet of five selections which consist of five singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, five 4-folds and an accumulator, totalling the customers stake to £62.
Getting an all correct Lucky 31 gives the customer a bonus of 20 per cent on top of the returns, adding an extra £81,000 to the customer's winnings - resulting in the massive payout.
Matt Scarrott, director of Sportsbook at BetVictor said: “This is a fantastic story and certainly a day to remember for our customer who has bagged an impressive £486,000 for a small £62 stake.
"We’re really pleased for our customer.
“When we spoke to him about his selections, he said he is a fan of Rebecca Curtis - even more so now - so decided to back a couple of her horses and that Bryony is his favourite female jockey”.
