A GENERAL election could be on its way before Christmas after MPs backed a move for a December vote.
Thursday, December 12 was earmarked for polling day and should be confirmed following approval from the House of Lords.

One thing is for sure, however - Bracknell will have a new MP after incumbent Dr Phillip Lee announced he will stand in neighbouring constituency Wokingham for the Liberal Democrats at next poll.
