A BUDGET supermarket chain is proving to be popular in Berkshire as they have announced more stores opening.

Residents in Bracknell and Ascot may expect to see a Lidl opening as bosses want to open more stores.

The German supermarket is also looking to relocate its shops in Camberley and Crowthorne.

Lidl is looking to come to Sunningdale, Ascot as well as Bracknell (North and South).

In Wokingham, another Lidl may be opening in Winnersh and Woodley.

There are already nine stores in Berkshire, but Lidl is looking to expand a further 11 stores across the county.

Lidl is looking for locations which are prominent sites in an area, which have main road access and also offer good pedestrian footfall.

Bosses are also interested in units which are “flexible on design and scale” between 14,000 and 26,500 sq ft.

The list isn't publicised very well, but on its website, it says it will consider other areas in addition to the ones listed.
