THOUSANDS of residents gathered to raise funds for the emergency services, while honouring the family of PC Harper.
The Emergency Services Day which was previously held by Thames Valley Police, took place in Arborfield Green where money was raised to help those working within the police, ambulance and fire services.
Families were invited to enjoy displays such as petting zoo with goats, ponies and enjoy tasty burgers, chips and sweet crepes.

Funds raised were also raised for PC Andrew Harper, who died while on duty attending a reported burglary in Reading.
Sammie Bryans, development director for Crest Nicholson said: “It was great to see so many families come along for our Emergency Services Day. "We are very proud to host this event with our development partners each year in Arborfield Green, and this year was even more poignant as we collected £251.53 in donations for the family of PC Harper.”
Children also got to be builders for the day by having a go on a construction vehicle and dog training demonstrations were on display too.
The Berkshire Search and Rescue team also displayed how they carry out searches with their incident support vehicles, rafts and other specialised equipment.
Mark Vanson, regional sales director at Redrow southern counties, said: “The emergency services are an integral part of any community, helping to educate and keep local people safe. Events like this are a great way to acknowledge this and celebrate the work of our emergency services teams. "It’s a fantastic honour to host such a long-standing community event at Arborfield Green, and we are proud to support it.”
