One objector wrote: “In addition to the 311 already small apartments, the extra 27 will make them even smaller… I do not believe that dividing the existing boxes will create an area large enough for anyone to live in.
“I do not believe that is in the public health of the target residents of Winchester House...”

Developers gained planning permission for the block in 2014 but council bosses would have to say yes again to pass these additional plans.
Designers hope to add the extra flats by reducing the number of three-bedroom homes and increasing the number of one and two-bedroom homes.
This means there will be 193 two-bedroom flats 145 one-bedroom flats altogether, with no three-bedroom homes planned.
These changes will mean another 25 car parking spaces are needed, likely to be made available at the Skimped Hill multi-storey car park.
Original plans for Winchester House included adding a new gym, public area, landscaping and new road works.
