MOUSE droppings have been discovered next to the kitchen of a pan-Asian takeaway in Sandhurst.
Spice Temple, on Vulcan Way, was given a zero food hygiene rating score after being inspected in September.

This means urgent improvement is necessary as inspectors rated the eatery’s food safety and structural compliance as ‘bad’.
A report from an inspector noted managers did not carry out pest control checks or keep records about pest-related incidents.
The report read: “During the inspection, I noted holes in the wall and mouse droppings in a side storage room.
“I was told that you do not use that room and that the equipment and food stored there was left by the previous business.
“There is a gap under the door that leads into your kitchen that a rodent can get under.”

A number of other concerns were pointed out by the inspector, including:
Food being stored without a shelf-life
“Very dirty” equipment, work surfaces and shelving
Food being kept in fridges at temperatures of up to 13.8c - more than five degrees higher than recommended
Two handwash basins next to the food preparation area were not working or were not used.
Inspectors had ‘little’ confidence in management having found there was no written cleaning schedule at the site or any cleaning records.
It was also discovered that the insides of microwaves were not clean, cooked rice had been left at room temperature for ‘hours’ and the blade of a can opener was encrusted with food “leading to the risk of contamination”.

Bosses were told to make a number of changes following the inspection.
Managers were asked to fully clean and disinfect the storage room where mouse droppings were found and have been suggested to hire a pest control company to help with any rodent problems.
Cleaning or replacing a range of equipment and surfaces was also instructed and thermometers should be added to all chilled and frozen units to make sure fridges temperatures are at recommended levels.
A spokesperson for Spice Temple told the News: "The rating was purely provided on the side garage which was the previous owner's equipment which has nothing to do with the new business.
"However everything they have asked has now been done.
"All the equipment has been removed and the droppings found in the garage, which has no access to the kitchen [and] has been all cleared.
"We have been reinspected with [a] high rating which will be updated within 28 days.
"We will be more than happy for anyone to inspect our kitchen before placing an order."
