OPPOSITION is mounting against controversial plans for 33 homes next to a caravan park in Warfield.
Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) planning chiefs are set to give the proposal the green light despite 26 objections from neighbours near Warfield Street.
Developers hope to build the new homes on land which has not been designated for house building and this is one of the main causes of concern for residents.

One commented: “We are concerned that this is overdevelopment of greenfield land which is beyond the need.
“This overdevelopment will have a significant impact on the unique character of the village and Warfield as a whole has already provided significant capacity for new housing development - this is already having a strain on traffic and other highways matters.”
Others are worried about flooding, trees being cut down, new homes being out of character with the rest of the area and more.

Warfield Parish Council also objected to the plans.
Despite pointing out the building of the homes would go against its own countryside planning policies, BFC bosses say the development would cause ‘minor harm’ to the open space.
They also claim the proposal would not harm the character or appearance of the area, would not negatively affect homes nearby and would not increase road or parking issues.

Four of the homes would be one-bedroom spaces, ten of the homes would be two-bedroom, ten would be three-bedroom, six would be four-bedroom and three would be five-bedroom.
Ten of them would be made affordable, with houses set to be a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.
Parking spaces for 78 cars are planned.
The site already has one home and is bordered by housing developments to the south and Hermitage Caravan Park to the west.
Previous plans for 34 homes at the site were thrown out by planning chiefs earlier this year.
Officers have recommended the plans for approval, which is set to be confirmed by councillors at a planning meeting on Monday, December 16.
