Residents who may be feeling lonely during the day can visit the pub and enjoy bingo, pub quizzes, fitness classes, gardening and order home-cooked food with a 'heavily' discounted menu and 10 per cent off all drinks.
Wendy Baker, pub owner, said: "The club is non-profit making and our aim is to call time on loneliness, bringing senior citizens together, making new friends and keeping active."
There will also be a monthly newsletter issued to members with information about events and menu updates.
The club will be opening on January 15 for six months and new members who join before Monday today (December 16) will get a free Christmas lunch on December 18.
