A COUPLE doing their Christmas shopping in Bracknell felt shocked after seeing 'big bits of debris' reportedly falling from a nearby tower block.
Mick Ev was walking with his wife through The Lexicon on Sunday morning (December 15) when he noticed pieces of cladding and plastic "crashing down" into the town.

He said they had to quickly take cover in Marks and Spencer's as the extreme wind and rain was "dangerous" blowing the cladding off from the top of Royal Winchester House.
The Bracknell resident said: "It could have hit anyone it was so dangerous. The weather was atrocious and the wind was blowing a gale but things shouldn't be falling off high buildings like that."
Mr Ev believes the plastic and cladding was falling from the top of Royal Winchester House, which is currently being built in the town.

Bracknell Forest Council has been asked about the incident but they explained they had not had any reports of any cladding falling into the town.
Andrew Hunter, director for place, planning and regeneration, said: “Property owners are responsible for the maintenance and safety of their buildings, including ensuring building work is carried out appropriately and safely for the benefit of all.
“Royal Winchester House is not owned by the council, however, we can and will take action when necessary, including when property owners are unable or unwilling to. If residents have concerns over the safety of a building, they can report them to us via https://www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/building-control/report-dangerous-structure.”
However, they have issued safety advice and what their protocols to protect the public.
Mick added: "There was a fair amount falling and a lot of it landed on top of the roofs of the restaurants. I think I saw a piece fall in front of Patisserie Valerie, it could have hit someone but it luckily just missed shoppers."
The developers of the apartment block has been contacted for a comment but they have not yet responded.
